Suspect in Clayton Bank Robbery Linked to Webster Groves Case
Officials have dubbed him the Same-Coat Bandit.
The man suspected of robbing a Clayton bank last month may have also robbed a bank Wednesday in Webster Groves, officials said.
Authorities have dubbed him the Same-Coat Bandit. The suspect may be responsible for Wednesday's robbery at the Webster Groves branch of Reliance Bank, 8083 Watson Rd.
The man suspected of robbing the Reliance branch at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday is described as white, having a thin to medium build and in his 20s. He wore a tan hooded jacket and did not display a weapon. Dark material covered part of his face.
According to BanditTrackerStLouis.com, the Same-Coat Bandit is also a suspect in three other recent robberies:
- Affton: Feb. 3 at Regions Bank at 9100 Gravois Rd.;
- Clayton: Jan. 25 at Enterprise Bank & Trust at 150 N. Meramec;
- St. Louis: Jan. 9 at American Eagle Credit Union at 4650 Hampton Ave.
