Richmond Heights Joins Traffic-Warrant Amnesty Program
Better Family Life sponsors the initiative, which helps people with outstanding warrants for traffic violations get their cases closed out.
People with outstanding Richmond Heights traffic warrants can participate in a program that will help close out their cases. The city announced its participation in the Better Family Life Amnesty 2012 initiative this week.
Vouchers were distributed earlier this month to people with open warrants for traffic violations. Defendants can return the vouchers with a $100 bond, after which their warrants will be recalled, an email from the city states. Those cases will then be added to an amnesty court docket to be closed out.
The vouchers may be submitted to the court, 7447 Dale Ave., between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Sept. 17-21. They may also be submitted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 22.
Defendants with open warrants for non-traffic violations may not participate.
Those with additional questions about the program may call Better Family Life at 314-381-8200.
