Clayton Tree Fears? Blogger's Camera Shows Lush Cityscape
City representatives have been discussing whether tree cover is disappearing and whether homeowners can be required by law to replace the vegetation.
Recent conversation about vegetation in the city prompted Clayton blogger Diane Meyer to ask whether dwindling tree cover is really a problem.
So she created a photo gallery of tree images she's taken from Concordia Seminary's Luther Tower.
Check out Meyer's gallery and read where she stands on whether a proposed tree-replacement ordinance constitutes an overreach of government.

My observation of the trees in Clayton is that matters must be well in hand. There are places where trees such as sweetgums and Bradford pear trees were planted years ago; however I know these two types have not been planted for many years and therefore will be replaced over time.
I certainly see no area that has a shortage of tree cover.
