CEO of Sterling Bank Accused of Breaking Wife's Leg

The wife of Kenneth Poteet, CEO of Sterling Bank, spoke to FOX-2 about multiple incidents of domestic violence. Kenneth Poteet's attorney called the reports untrue and said the wife is after money.

The CEO of Sterling Bank in Clayton has come under fire after his wife spoke publicly about multiple reports of domestic assault, FOX-2 reported Thursday.

Julianne Poteet told police she was beaten by her husband in Huntleigh and Naples, FL, FOX-2 reported. In one incident, a police report notes that her leg was broken following a reported assault.

Kenneth Poteet's attorney denies the accusations, saying Julianna Poteet is after his client's money.

The two have been married for about four months, FOX-2 reported, and the wedding happened after the first reported incident of abuse.

Kenneth Poteet's attorney, Scott Rosenblum, cited those facts as evidence that the accusations are untrue.

A video report from our partners at FOX-2 is included with this article. More information about the incident is available on FOX-2's website.

This guy has always been suspicious. Comes into town pissing away tons of cash on high profile buildings and sponsorships with profits from a bank? My gut tells me that this is only the tip of the ice berg of problems for this want to be hillbilly from Poplar Bluff.

Yeah, I know first hand that his bank in Clayton was built poorly. In fact, the developer failed to inform the contractors who performed the work that building was and is still laced with asbestos. The Vice President of Capstone stated, "we can't pay for the removal of the asbestos, we didn't budget for it".

I am totally against domestic violence, but I am questioning a newly weds motives to go live on the news about her high profile hubby to tell the world that he beat her twice! This wife seems to have pulled the big guns out awfully quick!

From what it show, she did not go to the press, the story broke from the police blotter in Naples, where it is says he ripped out a clump of her hair, in the hotel and then his lawyer was the one who went on the attack against her. The guy should be locked up , it is as he does not get it that domestic violence is a crime. Agree with "Wilma" there is something very creepy about the guy . From what it appears not even a real bank, but more like a front to sell Mo tax credits, which means we as tax payers are paying to support this guy.
If she was in it for the money, what is she getting out of going public? It seems she would have more leverage by promising to keep it a secret.

Agreed. Bill Luchini steals money from Missouri and Illinois, plus many other states to build low income family homes. However, Bill and his Vice President Lisa fail to pay their contractors and subsequently Sterling Bank bails out Capstone/CrestWood. Bill and Lisa are abusers, just like their great friend Ken P.

Naples happened in OCT! She's just now coming out on her own to speak because the beating happened again and "in hopes of helping other abused women!" No way.... She's a hand full when she drinks and she's looking to ruin his life and take all the winnings! Scam

I work in Clayton and Mr. Poteet has always been kind and respectful... Yes even when he drinks a bottle of wine! I don't see any redneck in him. People just love to see people FALL!

Many individuals have witnessed Ken drink and verbally abuse the patrons of Clayton.

Apparently his friends say he has a past and an ex of 25 years with no abuse to any women ever! So where did this come from all of the sudden? IDK... But some women are so vengeful an evil! So all I am saying is something in JP seems aggressive to hang him going so public after 5 months of marriage. You can ruin a persons whole lent ire life.

He either had extremely poor judgment in picking a wife or he is an abuser. Either way is not a positive for him

Yeah, Ken backs a lowlife named Bill Luchini. Bill is a true crook and steals money from a number of state agencies.
