Enterprise Founder Donates $25 Million to Washington University for Scholarships

The founder of Clayton-based Enterprise Holdings has donated $25 million to Washington University to be used toward undergraduate scholarships, the university stated in a news release Friday.
The funds from Jack Taylor will be added to an endowed scholarship fund set up by Enterprise in 2001. The company manages Enterprise Rent-A-Car, among other companies.
A fundraising initiative to raise $150 million in scholarship money by 2014 for Washington University students is underway. Nearly 200 students have benefited from the initial scholarship funding provided in 2001.
