Parent volunteers are being sought to support the new Maplewood Richmond Heights Elementary School chicken program. The school is located in Richmond Heights.

Nine 2-week-old chicks arrived at the school Sept. 9, the district stated on its website. It is the second school in the MRH School District to host chickens.

The volunteers and students will coordinate care for the chickens.
