BlackFinn American Grille Raises More Than $5,700 for Area Charities

New Restaurant Opening Benefits BackStoppers and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation

ST. LOUIS (4/19/2012) -- BlackFinn American Grille raised more than $5,700 for The BackStoppers and the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation at events held recently at its new restaurant located in the Saint Louis Galleria. The fundraisers were part of festivities marking the restaurant’s grand opening and included dinner and cocktails provided by BlackFinn.

A fundraiser attended by nearly 300 people on March 22 at BlackFinn benefiting the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation raised more than $3,400. The Foundation provides crucial financial support to subsidize exceptional healthcare services and procedures for children in need of care, and relies heavily on donors, philanthropists, community partnerships, and fundraisers to achieve these goals. The organization is also committed to programs that provide resources in the areas of wellness, nutrition, exercise, and general well being that empower children with the ability to make healthy, informed choices.

BlackFinn also hosted 300 people at an event on March 23, raising more than $2,300 for The BackStoppers, an organization that provides financial assistance to families of police officers, firefighters and publicly-funded paramedics/EMTs who have lost their lives in the line of duty.  The BackStoppers pays off all debt at the time of a line-of-duty death and then provides on-going assistance as needed, including health insurance and educational aid.  The BackStoppers serves 18 counties in Missouri and Illinois.
